Ordered: Chef’s choice of 7 piece sushi, assorted tempura, pressed salmon sushi, nigiri (unagi, tamago, salmon)
Comments: Tei-An is an upscale, Japanese restaurant. Small details about this place were notable. The disposable chopsticks were probably the fanciest throwaway chopsticks I’ve ever seen. The table setting even included a chopstick stand.
Tempura included a mix of different veggies and shrimp. Tempura batter was light and crispy. The shrimp was large and plump. (Sometimes restaurants will flatten the shrimp to make it appear larger. This was not the case here.) All of the sushi was delicious. Good texture, temperature and flavor.
Tei-An is definitely on the pricier side. It’s a good place for special occasions, but probably won’t be a go-to place for us for sushi. Thumbs up.
